Two important Questions
In the morning ask yourself -"What good shall I do today?"
In the evening ask yourself - "What good have I done today?"
The fruit of silence is prayer.
The fruit of faith is love.
The fruit of love is service.
The fruit of service is peace.
- Mother Theresa
Fast & Feast in eight easy steps.
1. Fast from criticism, and feast on praise.
2. Fast from self-pity, and feast on joy.
3. Fast from resentment, and feast on contentment.
4. Fast from jealousy, and feast on love.
5. Fast from pride, and feast on humility.
6. Fast from ill-temper, and feast on peace.
7. Fast from selfishness, and feast on service.
8. Fast from fear, and feast on faith.
The more we share, the more we have!
God is everywhere but He is most manifest in man.
So serve man as God. That is as good as worshipping God.
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials,
the most money, or the most awards.
They are the ones who care the most.
The Challenge:
Live today to make a difference in someone's life!
This world will never adjust itself to suit your whims to a letter.
Some things must go wrong your whole life long and the sooner you know it the better.
It's foolish to fight with the infinite and go under at last in the wrestle.
It's much better to fit into God's plan as water fits into a vessel.

Stunt Leones by Stevie smith
The lions who ate the Christians,
On the sands of the arena
By indulging native appetites
Played has now been seen a
Not entirely negligible part
In consolidating at the very start
The position of the Early Christian Church.
Initiatory rights are always bloody
In the lions, it appears
From contemporary art, made a study
Of dyeing Coliseum sands a ruddy
Liturgically sacrificial hue
And if the Christians felt a little blue -
Well people being eaten often do.
Theirs was the death, and theires was a crown undying,
A state of things which must be satisfying.
My point which up to this has been obscured
Is that it was the lions who procured
By chewing up blood, gristle, flesh and bone
The martyrdoms on which the church has grown.
I only write this poem because I thought it rather looked
As if the part the lions played was being overlooked.
By lions' jaws great benefits and blessings were begotten
And so our debt to Lionhood must never be forgotten.

There is a God in whom I do not believe
Yet to this God my love stretches,
This God whom I do not believe in is
My whole life, my life and I am his.

The Reason
My life is vile
I hate it so
I'll wait awhile
And then I'll go.
Why wait at all?
Hope springs alive,
Good may befall
I yet may thrive.
It is because I can't make up my mind
If God is good, impotent or unkind.

Inspirational quotes by Eleanor Roosevelt -
- No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
- Happiness is not a goal, it is a by-product.
- It is not fair to ask of others what you are unwilling to do yourself.
- When you cease to make a contribution, you begin to die.
- You get more joy out of the giving to others, and should put a good deal of thought into the happiness you are able to give.
- It isn't enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn't enough to believe in it. One must work at it.
- If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.
- At all times, day by day, we have to continue fighting for freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom from want
— for these are things that must be gained in peace as well as in war.
- Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.
- The most important thing in any relationship is not what you get but what you give.
- Will people ever be wise enough to refuse to follow bad leaders or to take away the freedom of other people?
by Charles Bukowski
I always resented the years, the hours, the
minutes I gave them as a working stiff, it
actually hurt my head, my insides, it made me
dizzy and a bit crazy- I couldn't understand the
murdering of my years
yet my fellow workers gave no sign of
agony, many of them even seemed satisfied, and
seeing them that way drove me almost as crazy as
the dull and senseless work.
the workers submitted.
the work pounded them to nothingness, they were
scooped-out and thrown away.
I resented each minute, every minute as it was
mutilated
and nothing relieved the monotony.
I considered suicide.
I drank away my few leisure hours.
I worked for decades.
I lived with the worst kind of women, they killed what
the job failed to kill.
I knew that I was dying.
something in me said, go ahead, die, sleep, become as
them, accept.
then something else in me said, no, save the tiniest
bit.
it needn't be much, just a spark.
A spark can set a forest on
fire.
just a spark.
save it.
I think I did.
I'm glad I did.
what a lucky god damned
thing.
Man's Ism
A violent throng of nameless creatures
Endless breath, unheard desires
Weary mortals seeking homes
From troubled vanities of earth’s wealth.
Countless hearts, seekers of all kinds
From all religions of man’s invention.
From idolatry traditionalism,
Cultures of hoods and voods
To Christianity, Islam, Maoism
Judaism, Shintoism, Eckanker
Atheism, Moralism
And nameless ism of unequal translations,
All in throng seeking truth of the isms here and more
One and only one knows the truth
He lives in hearts of humble seekers.
He lives.
