Good Morning Church Family,

- Angels are still on the tree in the fellowship hall. They need to be in on Sunday, Dec. 18th.
- Please remember to mark Sunday, Dec. 18th on your calendares for our "Christmas Concert" at 7:00 p.m. The choir and bells have been putting in lots of extra rehearsals for this program, and we hope you'll come share in this evening of Christmas celebration. A light reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Come and bring a friend.
We have a few prayer requests.
- Mickey Nelson and his family need our prayers. Hospice is now helping with Mickey's care at home. His healthis declining.
- Karen Bowman continues with asthma related problems.
- There is a premature baby "Allison" who needs our prayers. I am not sure the name of her parents.
- Please continue to pray for little baby, Brayden Walton who is progressing but is still in the hospital.
I want to thank all for the phone calls since Thursday and hugs I got at church yesterday after my fall last week. I decided I wanted to decorate my face for the holidays. God is healing me quickly, so I am very blessed. It could have been much worse, but six stitches is the worst of it. Thanks to Pat Wake for coming to my rescue. She's my angel.
Have a great week ahead. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....but more importantly, it's beginning to FEEL like Christmas in our hearts. We need to keep it there each and every day.
In Christ's love,
Sandra

- Dear Church Family, If you were unable to be with us yesterday, you really missed a very special service. We observed World Communion Sunday, and I have never, in all my years as a United Methodist, had such a sense of communing with fellow Christians around the world. Rev. Moon and Pat Wake put their heads together to develop this very unique celebration of the Lord's meal. Our Call to worship incorporated English, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, and Sign Language. We sang hymns in Spanish and Taiwanese, heard scripture in Dutch, Spanish, Korean, and English, had our pastoral benediction in Korean, and the choral benediction in Hebrew. As we took Communion, thanks those who prepare the elements, we had a choice of breads from foreign countries. We may not have understood all the languages, but the common language for us all is God's love. That is universal! I just wanted to thank everyone who participated in making this such a special service of Remembrance.
- I understand that Ernie Allen is home recovering from his accident. We hope he will heal quickly. Pat Sheldon was with us in worship yesterday. We're delighted she has progressed so quickly.
